Orange County's coastal parks protect a surprising network of canyons and ridges within sight of the Pacific. Routes often use wide fire roads, narrow connectors, and shared-use trails that can be combined into many loop lengths.
The marine layer can soften a summer morning, but exposed ridges heat quickly. Day-use fees, sunset closing times, and post-rain trail closures are common.
